J-Consult provides a number of different offerings, ranging from software development to professional services and training. We have a strategy of competing on price and quality by keeping fixed costs low and always hire in the most skilled people for the job on freelance basis. We never aim just to be the cheapest choice, but we do aim to deliver the best quality in the most affordable manner.
As the owner of J-Consult I do large parts of software development, professional services and trainng tasks and all other work such as project management and administrative tasks. Apart from using my own skills, J-Consult benefits from a close relationship with a pool of freelance software developers who are highly skilled in technologies such as .NET, Java, PHP, RDB etc., which means we are able to take in a lot of diverse projects ranging from eHealth solutions to data integration and migration projects. Furthermore we have highly specialized skills in IBM SPSS Data Collection products and Market Research in general. Additionally we have extensive knowledge and experience in Business Intelligence on the Microsoft platform using Zap BI from Zap Technology. To less extend we also evaluate and advise on choice of different software vendors for specific solutions.
As of 2012 J-Consult opened an office in Luxembourg moving the main part of the business from Denmark to Luxembourg to get a geographical location closer to the center of Europe.

At Zap Technology I was working out of Luxembourg with main focus on acquiring new partners in the Benelux region, France, Switzerland, Germany, Cyprus and Turkey. Apart from being heavily involved in the recrutement process of new partners, I was responsible for all technical aspects of partner enablement including training and general partner support. More commercially I took part in seminars held by partners and assisted them in the sales process of their first few opportunities. Furthermore I assisted them at the first couple of implementations of Zap Technology solutions at customers as well as provided professional services for their customers while they get up to speed on the Zap Technology product portefolio themselves.
Zap Technology is a 100 % partner driven company selling BI solutions entirely through a large partner network, mainly consisting of companies providing Microsoft Dynamics solutions and/or BI solutions based on Microsoft technologies.

Throughout my time at Siemens I mainly did solution design, price calculations, product demonstrations and presentations. I worked out of the Danish office, which was responsible for the direct sales channel in Denmark and the indirect sales channels in Denmark and Norway. Due to changing business strategies in Siemens Enterprise Communications and change of ownership (The Gores Group acquiring 51 % stake in the fall of 2008), later on I primarily dealt with partners and the indirect sales channels. Though the larger part of the business was in traditional TDM and IP telephony, I specialised in Unified Communications products and Contact Center solutions.

At SPSS I held an international presales position and was part of the Northern Europe Sales organisation (Benelux and Scandinavia). I helped driving sales from a technical perspective together with the sales teams. Besides being heavily involved in the sales process, I was doing technical POCs and solution development. I also did a lot of training and some consulting, but mostly on customised solutions. As part of the presales activities was such jobs as being speaker at seminars, doing demos of SPSS software and speaking about SPSS visions and concepts.
